The Mechanical department specifies and selects the equipment applied in the installations, which are designed within Iv-Oil & Gas. This concerns single pieces of equipment and packages. The equipment ranges from compressors to water coolers, from gas turbines to pressure vessels, from diesel driven generator sets to dosing pumps for injecting chemicals, etc. To implement the equipment in the installation the coordination with other disciplines is an important part of daily routine of a mechanical engineer. Knowledge of equipment, accompanying codes and standards and organisational skills are the most important tools for a mechanical engineer working at Iv-Oil & Gas.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Preparing design specification for equipment and packages
- Preparing cost estimates and evaluate tenders for equipment and packages
- Review Vendor documentation
- Perform final inspections (FAT)
Key requirements
- At least a MSc or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of 15 years experience in Mechanical Engineering in the upstream offshore industry
- Experience in rotating equipment
- MS office
- Working knowledge of the English language
- Good communicative skills, able to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Good knowledge of the Dutch language
- Able to plan and prioritise the work
