The Instrumentation Department is responsible for the automation and safeguarding of the oil and gas processes engineered and designed in multidisciplinary project teams by our company. Furthermore, the department is responsible for telecommunication and radio communication of the oil and gas plants with external locations like boats, helicopters and remote control rooms. To ensure safety of operating personnel complete fire and gas detection and security systems like CCTV systems are engineered by the Instrumentation department. Engineers are generality responsible for the generation of a document package enabling correct selection of all equipment related to the above systems. Designers are generally responsible for the generation of a document package enabling correct installation of all equipment related to the above systems.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Setup, maintain and administrating various Instrumentation projects with INtools & SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI):
- Administration of the project INtools databases including the oracle administration
- Alignment of all Instrumentation Intools projects.
- Setup of oracle database. Initialization of new domains, project, plant area unit structures etc
- Importing data into Smartplant Instrumentation (INtools) for all modules using any giving data source, from text files, excel files MS Access files etc.
- Exporting data from the INtools database to any given format. Interfacing to other applications, calculation software or client databases.
- Modify original INtools datasheets to Iv standard or to client format.
- Creation of complete sets of customized reports deliverable sets. Wiring, Instrument Index, Installation lists, Cable Schedules, Cutting list etc etc. Each report can be delivered in PSR form for easy interfacing with the import PSR option in Smartplant Instrumentation (INtools) or using Infomaker executable files.
- Support to all Intools users within the Instrumentation department.
- Conduction of in-house Intools training to new and/or present Intools users within the Instrumentation department.
Key requirements
- MTS (instrumentation/electrical); with a good command of the English language both spoken and in writing
- Preferably 5 years experience in an engineering environment
- Highly skilled with Intools/Smart Plant Instrumentation
- Skilled in Oracle Programming and data management.
- Familiar with softwaretools like Access, Excel, Autocad and Microstation
- Preferably familiar with classification society rules and design codes
- Communicative skills
- Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills
- Good knowledge of the Dutch language
