Introduction
Iv-Consult is a subsidiary of Iv-Groep, the management company of a number of multidisciplinary engineering firms, currently ranked 9th in the top 50 engineering firms.
The ambition of Iv-Consult is to become market leader in the designing and detailing of large, challenging and/or complex steel, concrete and engineering projects. Iv-Consult employs around 135 professionals at offices at Papendrecht (head office) and Almere in the Netherlands and at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
In the short term we want to expand our Almere office, which currently has 11 employees.
For our offices in Almere we are looking for a senior designer structural;
Tasks & responsibilities
- Production of design drawings (by means of a CAD system) based on provided data;
- Inventorying of the calculations required and gathering of information for them;
- Checking the job owner’s own work and that of other designers.
Key requirements
- college-educated to intermediate or higher level in civil engineering, with demonstrable relevant experience (at least 5 years);
- ability to use software like Tekla Xsteel;
- proactive and problem-solving mindset;
- good interpersonal and editing skills;
- Good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken), preferably knowledge of the Dutch language;
- ability to watch over engineering quality and, if necessary, take remedial action;
- capable of overseeing the total picture and acting at the right abstraction level;
- assertive, sense of responsibility, accurate and productive.
