Is Iv-Groep a good place for non-technical personnel to work?
Certainly! There are many development opportunities within lv-Groep. It’s a growing organisation with abundant opportunities for people who want to have responsibility and the use of one’s initiative is encouraged. As a business economist I find this exiting because there is potential and opportunity for growing in all directions. In short, lv-Groep offers challenges even for ambitious non-technical personnel.
Do you have an affinity for technology?
What I find remarkable in lv-Groep is the passion our people have for their field: technology. This passion is everywhere to be seen and is clearly evident in any discussions you have with the people here. The enthusiasm displayed by my colleagues is simply contagious. It is really exciting to make contact with this new interesting world.
Describe your career path at Iv-Groep thus far.
After completing my studies in business economics, I started out in the marketing department. In this job I had frequent contact with different colleagues within the entire group and got to know the organisation well. The marketing department is a hive of activity where many things start unfolding due to the growth spurt that Iv-Groep is experiencing. Actually, this is true for all divisions and departments in the group. Right now I am a Team Leader Creditors in the department of Finance and Administration. I am responsible for processing incoming invoices for lv-Groep and have to make sure that this process runs as efficiently as possible. For example, the data processing needs to be refined so that purchasing staff and management can sign off on all invoices electronically. This is a challenging task that I can really sink my teeth into. It is satisfying to improve the efficiency of the internal workings so that the company’s front rooms run smoothly. When this process gets underway, there will no doubt be new challenges to be tackled. Iv-Groep is growing and there is plenty of action!
How did you land up at lv-Groep?
After graduating early in 2008, I applied to lv-Groep through a temporary employment agency. At the time it was perhaps not a conscious decision to work for lv-Groep, but it certainly was a conscious decision to stay here! This field is very interesting and the employment conditions are good. The flexible working hours are a bonus, making it a lot easier to juggle work and family.
‘”What I find awesome in lv-Groep is the passion that people have for their profession.”
