January 2011 – A framework agreement between the Iv-Groep/RPS BCC consortium and the Scheldestromen water board was signed by Erik Vegt, managing director of Iv-Water, and Kees Minderhoud, head of the water board's engineering department, on 4 January 2011. The two-year agreement takes effect in 2011, with the possibility of two renewals for one year at a time.
The framework agreement covers the entire range of projects that the water board may need. They include projects for roads, water treatment, dike reinforcement and hydraulic engineering structures. All other water-related projects also fall under the contract.
Iv-Groep/RPS BCC was chosen as the preferred consortium on account of the diversity of the required disciplines. Infrastructure and treatment works are the principal field of Iv-Groep, while RPS specialises in water management and flood defences. Iv-Infra and Iv-Water are the subsidiaries of Iv-Groep that will carry out the work.
Following signature of the agreement there was a cordial kick-off for the project leaders of all parties who signed the document.
