Iv-Groep signs framework agreement with Waterschap Rivierenland
January 2012 - Iv-Groep has signed a framework agreement with Waterschap Rivierenland under which they will provide a range of engineering services. Iv-Infra and Iv-Water, subsidiaries of Iv-Groep, will carry out the work. The contract covers two lots for a term of four years.
The framework agreement covers projects and general engineering and consultancy services. The projects may include studies and surveys. It mainly concerns projects for nature and ecology, flood defences, dams, culverts, polder pumping stations, the reconstruction of roads and structures, the realisation of bicycle paths, water treatment plants, sewage pumping stations and pressure pipes. It comprises all engineering products and services in the fields of civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and automation. It concerns quantitative, qualitative and integral projects. Services include planning, conducting studies and surveys, advising and supervising one or more project phases.
December 2011 – On November the 9th, Iv-Infra's Board of directors was reported by the certificating institute Lloyd's Register at Rotterdam that they decided to grant SKAO's CO2-Reduction Certificate. This certificate is also valid for partner TUC RAIL and Iv-Infra/TUC RAIL. The certificate has SKAO's document number 665603.
November 2011 – NOVEC has commissioned Iv-Bouw to develop a study and design for the reconstruction of the mast in Hoogersmilde. The reconstruction is 294 metres high and the second highest construction in the Netherlands.
August 2011 - Iv-Consult has launched an engineering department in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as of August this year. Construction designs and calculations can now be produced at our office in Kuala Lumpur. This work will also be carried out under Dutch supervision.
Aruba, June 2011 – KIWA recently certificated Iv-Caribbean for its safety management system that was implemented in accordance with the Caribbean Safety Standard. Iv-Caribbean is the first company on Aruba with this certification. During the audit, Iv-Caribbean proved its ability to work safely in conformity with regulatory requirements and expressed its ambition to contribute positively to society.
A consortium consisting of Iv-Water, Iv-Infra and MWH has signed a framework agreement with Waternet for the provision of engineering services for plants that treat drinking water. The contract is for a term of at least two years, with renewal for a maximum of two terms of one year each.
The Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat) has commissioned DHV and Iv-Infra to develop three options for a new and larger shipping lock at IJmuiden near Amsterdam. The objective of the study is to improve the accessibility of harbours along the North Sea Canal.
March 2011 - EASIT2, an acronym for Engineering Analysis and Simulation Innovation Transfer, is an international project sponsored by the EU. Nevesbu b.v. is participating in the project to set out the knowledge and skills needed by a competent structural engineer. The objectives are to define the skills and then develop ways of imparting them to the participating members of the engineering community.
February 2011 – Iv-Water/Iv-Infra have jointly signed a framework contract with Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier under which they will provide a range of engineering services for this all-in district water board, which is responsible for carrying out tasks related to the quantity and quality of water. In its capacity as a road manager the district water board also has a duty to maintain the roads through the polder in its catchment area. This duty covers the entire embodiment of a road, including surfacing, greening and road furniture.
In association with Hollandia and Arcelor Mittal, Iv-Consult is designing a new sports stadium in the Nigerian city of Port Harcourt. The 'Sports Bowl' is part of the sports village called the 'Garden City Community Sports Centre' that is being financed by the County of River State. The village will house a complete range of sports facilities.
Iv-Infra marked up its third success in securing a RINK contract from the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat/RWS). RINK is a Dutch abbreviation of Risk Analysis for Wet Civil Engineering Works. It involves conducting detailed on-site inspections, making design analyses of all elements of assets and producing quantitative risk and reliability analyses so as to produce an integral RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety) analysis of each civil engineering work. The civil engineering works include locks, dams, pumping stations, moving bridges and fixed bridges.
