Hamriyah Maritime City

Hamriyah Maritime City (HMC) was conceptualized as an integrated maritime industrial city with comprehensive facilities for shipyard operators and maritime-related industry. The idea was to provide a new-build One Stop Shop engineering solution for the shipping industry.
MHC occupies more than 500,000 square metres of a prime seafront location in Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah (United Arab Emirates).

On account of its experience in designing ship lifts, Iv-Consult was contracted by HMC to produce the preliminary and final designs of the industrial zone. HMC intends to service 1500 vessels per year, with lengths varying from 10 to 120 metres.

Iv-Consult was responsible for project management, the design of all foundations and services below ground level, quay walls and civil supporting structures at the two ship lifts, all service-related buildings, a marina and a boat lift, all equipment and machinery, and the applications for all necessary permits.
