Project Roosendaal (The Netherlands)
The production of molasses out of chicory involves a process similar to the process of manufacturing sugar from sugar beet. The resulting syrup is kept in storage tanks. A new factory was built for this process on the existing Suiker Unie site in Roosendaal in the Netherlands.

Iv-Consult was awarded the project management services and the engineering, design and detailed design of the factory and waste water treatment plant. Iv-Consult was additionally given responsibility for the construction contract and on-site supervision.

Project Puttershoek (The Netherlands)
Each year the Puttershoek plant processes 100,000 tons of sugar products (sugar lumps, 1 kg packs of granulated sugar, icing sugar and soft brown sugar).
Suiker Unie built this plant near the existing sugar refinery in Puttershoek.

Iv-Consult was contracted for the feasibility study and all phases of the project design. The scope of work included civil, mechanical and electrical engineering, preparation of tender documents, contract management and construction management.
