The Beijing Great Wheel will easily be the world's largest Ferris wheel with a height of 208 metres. Iv-Consult was contracted to design the entire wheel and to oversee its construction.

There will be 48 enclosed capsules. Each can accommodate up to 40 people. In one revolution over 1900 passengers will be able to enjoy a fantastic view of the city of Beijing including Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.

The initiator of this development is The Great Wheel Corporation of the Virgin Islands. The property developer will finance and operate the big wheel and is building similar landmarks at various places all over the world. Iv-Consult performed a feasibility study for the property developer and produced the conceptual design.
